Following a closed session invoked under Texas Education Code §§551.074 and 551.071, the San Felipe-Del Rio CISD board reconvened in open session and approved several personnel items that administration had recommended.
Administration asked the board to convert an excess budgeted FTE to create a Chief Special Programs Officer position; the trustees moved and approved the conversion unanimously. The board also approved updated job descriptions and evaluation forms for the Chief Special Programs Officer to align them with federal funding requirements.
The board voted unanimously to accept the resignations, retirements and district vacancies discussed in closed session and to approve salary adjustments as recommended by administration. Administration also recommended and the board approved the appointment of Charles Garabedian as chief administrative officer.
No action was reported to have been taken during closed session itself; all final votes were taken in open session and were unanimous. The board adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
