Public works reports: 600 Road asphalt done; chip sealing and trail grant work planned

"Completed 600 Road project: curb and gutter was installed last year, and the contractor finally completed the asphalt this year," White reported. He told commissioners water lines on the project still need to be verified and valve cans with concrete collars installed, and that meters have been set on parcels prepared for cemetery expansion. White said the city is "preparing for chip sealing roads in three weeks" and is hauling chip materials and conducting street sweeping; planned chip‑seal locations include Dairy Glen, Three Peaks, 3600 West sections and two streets near Gateway School.
On active planning, White described a multi‑agency trail concept funded through a UDOT grant application that would connect the Bicentennial Park to the Highway 91 bike trail via an underpass; BLM is coordinating trail planning on the east side of the highway. City Manager Ryan Robinson said the city has a conceptual rendition and would maintain the Enoch portion if funded. Robinson also noted the city plans a public hearing on an annexation declaration area on June 9.
Next steps: staff will verify water infrastructure punch list items, proceed with chip sealing as scheduled and include trail grant materials in upcoming outreach and public hearing packets where applicable. The meeting adjourned after reports.
