Commission approves publication of notice for hearing on taxable industrial revenue bonds for Salt Lake Golf Course

The Reno County Commission on May 27 voted to authorize publication of notice for a public hearing on June 24, 2026, at 9 a.m. regarding issuance of taxable industrial revenue bonds for the Salt Lake Golf Course.
County staff described the vote as a procedural step to give the public a chance to weigh in on the project; bond counsel and attorneys for the applicant were available virtually for questions. A motion to publish notice, made by a commissioner per staff presentation and seconded by another commissioner, passed on roll call with Commissioners Parks, Vincent, Boettner and Hurst recording "yes" votes.
The vote authorized publication of the hearing notice only; no final decision on bond issuance or approval of financing terms was made at the meeting. Staff said bond counsel and the applicant's attorneys will attend the June 24 hearing and that the board will receive further information before any bond approval.
