West Hanover planning commission approves waiver and conditionally approves docket 26.003

The West Hanover Township Planning Commission on April 23 approved a waiver and then granted conditional approval for an application filed as docket 26.003, requiring the applicant to address comments from township staff, the township engineer and the Tri County Planning Commission.

The commission began new business by introducing the applicant for docket 26.003 and asking the applicant to present the plan. After a brief presentation and no initial questions from members, the commission first considered a waiver request related to the submission. A committee member moved to approve the waiver; a second was offered and the motion passed on an aye vote.

The commission then considered a motion to approve the application itself. During that discussion a presenter asked that "all the conditions of the staff, township engineer, and Tri County Planning Commission, and any other staff reports be addressed," and the commission amended the motion to require compliance with those comments before final acceptance. The amended motion was put to a vote and carried.

Minutes and the record show the commission acted by motion and vote; the motion to approve the waiver and the amended approval of docket 26.003 were both carried with affirmative votes recorded. The commission did not receive public comment on the item during the meeting.

Next steps: the conditional approval requires the applicant to resolve outstanding staff and engineering comments and any Tri County Planning Commission recommendations before the file is finalized.
