Acushnet assessors approve personal-exemption clauses, abatements and sign county tax warrant in executive session

The Acushnet Board of Assessors moved into executive session Oct. 9 to consider personal exemptions and Chapter 61A/61B applications. After the closed discussion the board returned to open session and Kelly, a staff member, read the actions taken in executive session aloud for the public record.
Kelly reported: "Approval of FY 2025 personal exemptions clause 41 c 8, clause 17 d 1, clause 22 lowercase a 1, clause 22 capital e 2. For fiscal 20 26, chapter 61 a, chapter 61 b application, 61 a 20, 61 b 8." She also said the board reviewed and signed the minutes of 09/18/24 (open and executive), approved motor-vehicle abatements for September 2024, approved a real-estate abatement for September 2024, granted signatory privilege for the DLS gateway platform, and signed the county tax warrant for fiscal 2025.
Procedural record: the board voted to adjourn the regular session and enter executive session, then later voted to reopen the public meeting; both motions passed with an 'Aye' vote. The meeting concluded with a motion and vote to adjourn.
