The Lac qui Parle Valley Schools board approved the monthly bills and heard a budget-status update that showed the district is within its expected spending for fiscal year 2026.
A board member moved to approve May 2026 board bills ($198,296.16), April 2026 manual checks ($72,904.77) and May 2026 construction bills ($683,619.81) for a combined total of $954,820.74. The motion was seconded, put to a voice vote and carried.
District staff told the board the FY26 budget is landing where expected and that the district anticipates roughly a 19 percent fund balance heading into the next year. The board was reminded that a more detailed FY27 budget will be presented at the June board meeting for formal consideration.
