Charlton approves $325,000 in capital items, including ARPA-funded radio upgrade

Town Administrator Mister Golos described the radio project as an infrastructure upgrade to the public safety radio system that uses ARPA funds and is “almost complete,” with funds requested to transition radios from analog to digital. The finance committee and the select board both recommended the measure, and the assembly approved the motion by electronic vote, 103 yes to 9 no.
Voters also authorized the select board or chief procurement officer to enter into contracts or leases necessary to effectuate those capital improvements.
