Superintendent celebrates passage of 'Growing Together' bond and honors student and staff awards

Superintendent Bauman told the Lakeville Area Schools board on May 26 that voters approved the "Growing Together" bond referendum on May 12 by 54% to 45% and thanked district staff, communication teams and county election partners for their support. He said the measure will fund improvements to create more comparable learning environments across middle schools and support the district as the community grows.
The board also recognized two Athena award recipients—Hayden Jansky (Lakeville North) and Ava Welsh (Lakeville South)—student accomplishments in speech, math and music competitions, and the district’s Educators of Excellence winners: Hilary Morlock (elementary digital media specialist) and Erin Mulvaney Mankowski (secondary English teacher at Lakeville Pathways Academy). Superintendent Bauman and board members framed the bond passage as an investment in students and staff for facilities and program needs. "By passing the bond referendum, our voters have chosen to invest in the success of our students," Bauman said.
