The board voted to accept a contract with InformaCast, a network messaging system the county will use to send mass messages and enable interbuilding communications. The county attorney reported that the vendor clarified jurisdiction and choice‑of‑law language favorably for the county. The motion to accept the InformaCast contract carried 3‑0.
Commissioners also approved a Civic Plus website contract to replace the county’s current vendor; staff said the new vendor needs time to build the site before the current vendor ends service at year end. That motion passed 3‑0.
The county recorder presented a five‑year lease proposal for a ROW scanner/printer from Eastern Engineering to replace an aging machine that is difficult to service; commissioners approved the lease subject to review and approval by the county attorney.
Separately, commissioners discussed a timekeeping/attendance vendor (Attendance on Demand/Lao). Staff reported substantial pushback from departments and the council; a motion to direct the county attorney to send a termination letter to the vendor passed 3‑0.
Finally, after staff review of the Sentinel Offender Services agreement and its termination clause, commissioners approved terminating that contract with 60 days' written notice, which the county attorney said the contract permits without other liability. That motion also passed unanimously.
The county attorney said he would review full lease terms and any vendor contracts as requested before final signatures.
