Boone County sets hearings on drainage reclassification and Blue Sky rezoning; tentatively approves Drainage District #112 report

Boone County supervisors on May 20 tentatively approved a reclassification report for Drainage District #112 and scheduled a public hearing for July 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Boone County Fairgrounds.

Tyler Conley of Bolton & Menk and Katie Moran, the county drainage clerk, presented the reclassification report; the board voted to tentatively approve the report and set the hearing date. The hearing will allow property owners and other stakeholders to comment before the board considers adopting a final reclassification.

Also on the agenda, the board received a rezoning and preliminary plat application from Blue Sky Properties, LLC. Staff and the applicant (presented by Mike Salati) set three public hearings for a zoning change from Agriculture to Residential on June 3, June 10 and June 17 (all at 9:00 a.m.), and set the preliminary plat hearing for June 17 at 9:20 a.m.

Separately, the board approved the Plans of Proposed Improvement on the Farm‑to‑Market System FM‑C008(91)‑55‑08 to replace PCC pavement on L Ave (from 500 feet south of 310th Street north 0.5 miles to .5 miles north of 300th Street). The minutes record the plan approval as part of routine infrastructure items approved with motions that carried unanimously.
