City staff brought two special-event applications to the council on Sept. 23 and recommended approval for both.
A representative of Aurora Baptist Temple described plans for a trunk-or-treat on Oct. 31 with setup beginning at 5:30 p.m., an event window from 6 to 8 p.m., and staff-assisted traffic management and lighting. Staff said the church has run the event for 18 years and recommended approval; the council approved the application.
O’Reilly submitted a customer-appreciation-day application for Crosby Park with setup and teardown details and on-site food service. Staff told council the applicant coordinated with parks and other staff; a council member moved to approve and the council passed the application.
Staff noted planned traffic management and cleanup expectations for both events as part of the approvals.
