Boyce told the commission the combined amendments under consideration were about $8,455,891.56, which he said represented "about somewhere around 10.6% of the city annual budget." The commission approved consent and regular items after staff explanation and discussion.
Contracts and projects: The commission approved an amended contract with MagnaFlow for grit removal at the Wallace Locks Wastewater Treatment Plant and authorized additional tank cleaning. It awarded a $1.4 million waterline replacement contract (ITB 26‑019) to Bull G Construction LLC and approved a sanitary sewer replacement award (ITB 26‑018) to Bulge Construction LLC as part of the city’s annual replacement programs. The commission also approved a professional engineering services agreement with Tetra Tech (resolution 26‑061) for a multi‑phase redevelopment study of Bayou Golf Course; the first phase will collect flooding and drainage data and produce specifications and cost assessments, funded from previously budgeted money.
