Council outlines plans for SEPTA presentation, train station acquisition and local grants

The president also said they will appoint a committee to work with zoning consultant Lynn Bush and named council members who have expressed interest in serving on that group.
The president reported that the borough secured a $2,000,000 grant through the Redevelopment Authority to help fund the theater project (phase 1). The president also said the RDA helped secure funding for an ambulance for the Fox County Rescue Squad; council said the vehicle is expected within roughly 30 days. The amount mentioned at the meeting was described as about $190,000 (stated approximately by council at the time).
Members proposed scheduling an on-site visit to the senior center to assess needed repairs and programming. The council said it is meeting with Gilmore & Associates and expects presentations on multiple projects in March or April.
No formal actions on the train station, theater project or committee appointments were recorded at the meeting; the items were presented for future consideration and follow-up.
