The Lower Saucon Township Environmental Advisory Council voted to re‑elect its leadership and forward a set of revised bylaws to township council for review.
At the start of the meeting Chair Drew Germanowski confirmed the roll call and nominations. Jennifer Helton, co‑chair, moved to nominate Drew Germanowski for chair; Kathy McGovern, secretary, seconded the nomination and members approved by voice vote. Helton was re‑nominated and approved to remain vice chair, and Kathy McGovern was re‑elected secretary by oral vote.
The committee also considered elevating an associate member to a voting member and agreed to recommend that change to township council. A nomination to recommend Ross Sutton for elevation carried by voice vote and will be forwarded to council for final action.
The committee spent a segment reviewing a year‑long bylaws revision produced by a subcommittee. Jennifer Helton summarized the edits and noted the township attorney had reviewed the draft. Secretary Kathy McGovern moved to accept the revised Environmental Advisory Council bylaws; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The chair said the accepted version "will move forward to council, and we'll wait to hear back from council." (Drew Germanowski)
No formal roll‑call tallies were recorded in the transcript; motions passed by voice vote during the meeting. The committee indicated it will await township council review on both the bylaws and the membership change and said staff will forward the documents to the solicitor for final review.
Next steps: the accepted bylaws and the membership recommendation will be submitted to township council for final consideration; committee members will continue work on subcommittees and keep action items reported monthly.
