"My name is Jody. I am the vice president of school engagement for the American Heart Association in Colorado and Wyoming," the association representative said at the board meeting, and she congratulated the district for being one of about 30 districts that joined the initiative and for being the first in Colorado to achieve the District of Lifesavers goal. Jody said Morgan raised $1,257.42 and described that fundraising as supporting life-saving research and education.
The board also presented a certificate of appreciation to a teacher named Adam for years of service to the district.
Those recognitions were part of the meeting’s opening agenda items before the board moved on to reports and budget business.
