At its Sept. 11 meeting the Greenburgh Town Board approved a broad package of resolutions authorizing bond issuances and contract awards to fund capital improvements, equipment and legal services.
Approved items included bond authorizations for park improvements and entrance roads at Anthony Veteran Park, lighting and concrete work at town parks, a multi‑site sidewalk construction authorization, purchase of replacement police vehicles, culvert and drainage repairs, reconstruction or improvements to town buildings (including elevator/ HVAC/electrical systems), funding toward Odell House reconstruction, and funds toward an electric or hybrid bus acquisition. The board also approved bonds for an ambulance purchase, heavy‑duty maintenance vehicles, traffic signals and controls, and a roundabout survey at Jackson Avenue (the board amended the roundabout item to authorize survey work).
The board retained external counsel in several matters, approving retention of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker to represent the town and personnel in Kristen Stein v. Town of Greenburgh and separately approved other law firm retentions for pending litigation. The board approved tax certiorari settlements with refunds read on the record for two properties. The board approved a contract award for reconstruction of stone and concrete curbing and under drains to Tony Cassell; the amount was read aloud on the record.
Several amounts read on the transcript appear garbled (for example one bond amount was transcribed as "2,000,003,538,008 $4.09" and other large numbers are inconsistent). The board record and official minutes should be consulted to confirm the exact dollar amounts before publication or public advice based on totals.
Most motions were approved on voice votes with "aye" recorded; the transcript repeatedly records 'All in favor, aye.'
