Residents raise concerns about past counsel remarks, police incident, dog-park fill and sidewalks in public comment

During the public-comment portion, Ryan Archer (speaker S7) and Donnie Adleman (speaker S3) raised a range of concerns for council attention.

Archer said he reviewed the oath language on newjerseystatelibrary.org and urged the council to consider consistency in officials’ statements at past meetings; he said special counsel read material from a complaint order at a prior meeting that appeared to contradict an earlier statement and asked the council to review that record.

"I pulled this off of newjerseystatelibrary.org," Archer said, reading the oath language and asking council whether the wording matched the official oath.

Donnie Adleman requested follow-up on the dog park’s flooding and secondary gates, said he was concerned leftover road patch was being used to fill holes there, and pressed the township about sidewalk funding and missing sidewalks that he said had been paid for but not installed. He also described, based on what he said were conversations with acquaintances in the police department, an internal incident months earlier in which one officer drew a firearm on another. Council President Kuehn invited the public-safety director (seated at the meeting) to address the claim and said staff would follow up after the meeting.

Adleman also raised the township’s social-media presence and questioned whether creating an official Facebook page would reduce misinformation; Kuehn said he would not recommend starting a town-owned Facebook page and suggested the public-safety director could discuss specific internal police matters after the meeting.

Council thanked the speakers and indicated staff would follow up on the specific operational and records questions raised during the public-comment period.
