The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors on May 18 adopted RESOLUTION NO. 03-02-26-15 to amend departmental appropriations for fiscal year 2025–26, stating the changes will not increase current fiscal year taxes.
The board opened and closed a public hearing on the budget amendment at 9:10 a.m.; there were no oral or written comments, Chairperson Hackman said. The resolution amends previously approved appropriations and lists specific changes including a $10,000 increase for the Heritage Center and a $10,000 increase in Administration, with the total departmental budgets updated accordingly.
Adoption was by roll call vote with Supervisors Suckow, Breitbach, Carter and Hackman voting aye and Supervisor Cerwinske recorded absent. The resolution and the detailed amendment worksheet are on file with the Chickasaw County Auditor.
Other routine business during the meeting included approval of corrected minutes for May 11, 2026, proclamation of May as Cemetery Appreciation Month (presented by members of the Chickasaw County Pioneer Cemetery Commission), and approvals for payroll and claims. The board approved a Class C retail alcohol license renewal for Bulk Tank LLC and prior bill claims as recorded in the minutes.
The board directed that the adopted amendment be recorded in county records; the Auditor’s office maintains the full document and the county posts it on its website.
