The board’s announcement follows recent county transportation planning discussions and a vote at the county level to allocate federal transportation funds through the regional planning organization. Town officials said the funding secures the roundabout’s construction but did not provide a construction timetable during the meeting.
Board members framed the project as part of broader efforts to manage traffic and prioritize safety on local routes.
