Planning and Zoning Commission reviews applicants for three open seats; candidates introduce themselves

The Freeport Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed applications for three open seats and heard brief introductions from several applicants.

Patty Richardson, who identified herself as a realtor living on North Avenue A, told the commission she has 25 years of real estate experience and said, “I feel like it’s a good fit for me.” Greg Bartosh, who said he has attended meetings in Freeport for about 30 years, told the commission he wants to help maintain the city’s progress. Susan Landers, who gave her address and described a career in environmental health and safety with an emphasis on construction safety, said she would like to serve to help plan for future generations in the area. Commission members discussed how to present the candidate pool to city council, agreeing to mark and rank the top candidates and give the marked applications to the secretary for tallying.
