Danville territory board adopts resolution to accept Marion Township EMS-billing revenue

The Danville Center Township Fire Territory executive board voted to adopt a resolution authorizing the fire chief to execute a contract with Marion Township to receive EMS-billing revenue directly into the territory budget.
Gary Schwartz said that historically the money had gone into the town general fund but now that the territory is formed the funds will go to the territory. He reported the EMS-billing amount as $69,961.11 for 2026 and said the trustee and its board have signed the agreement.
A committee member moved to approve the resolution and the motion was seconded and adopted unanimously. Schwartz said he would sign contracts as agent for the territory but recommended the formal resolution to keep the arrangement clean and recorded.
The board requested that future contract approvals follow the resolution and that the chief be authorized to take the administrative steps to effect the agreement.
