Finance staff warns aging financial software may need urgent replacement amid domain migration

Separately, staff reported the town will convert its domain from manchester.ma.us to manchesterma.gov under a grant-funded project; the change affects email addresses, logins and a multi-month migration that staff estimate could take six months and should be coordinated with any software transition.
Committee guidance: keep the software replacement on the conversation list, continue to monitor vendor support, and factor domain‑migration timing into any procurement timetable. If operating pressures force cuts, the committee said the software item might be pulled back in if an override is required.
