Staff provided an update on a private service‑line warranty program (offered through a national vendor recommended by the National League of Cities). Staff said 72 residents are enrolled with 149 policies; the council declined a proposed city revenue share that would have increased the policy cost to residents. A resident, Alan Hobson, asked whether a STEP/septic system sewer line is covered; staff responded sewer coverage is provided through STEP system charges and advised homeowners to consider separate water coverage.
