Wyckoff Township officials briefed the committee on several financing and capital items the committee will consider at the 8 p.m. business meeting, including participation in a municipal bond sale and three ordinances to appropriate funds for capital projects.
Administrator Matt told members the township expects to participate in a bond sale and to consolidate certain existing bonds into a single general issue. He described a resolution declaring municipal support for preservation of federal tax-exempt municipal bonds and two related resolutions: one authorizing the insertion of a Chapter 159 special item of revenue into the budget for the 2025 recycling tonnage grant, and another authorizing the combined bond issue and sale participation.
Matt also previewed three ordinances scheduled for public consideration and further hearing: an ordinance appropriating $825,000 for various capital improvements (funded from cash previously budgeted), an ordinance to appropriate funds for major vehicle repairs, and an ordinance to appropriate funds for future field improvements and safety enhancements.
The committee was advised these items are on the business-meeting agenda for formal action; no final votes on the bond or the ordinances were taken during the work session. Matt additionally noted a contract-authorizing resolution for special counsel on tax appeals will be on the agenda.
