Commission tables officer elections until March meeting and adjourns

The Linton Rebuild the Commission on Feb. 23 agreed to postpone election of officers until its March meeting after members noted absences and potential scheduling conflicts.
Members discussed nominations and noted that some regular attendees — including Ginny Bradbury and Mark Walton — were not present. One member said she would likely prefer not to remain president this year because of an expected baby in June. Given the absences and timing, a Committee member moved to table elections until the March meeting; the motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote.
The commission also completed routine business: it approved minutes from the previous meeting, accepted the treasurer’s report and, at the end of the meeting, voted to adjourn. The Chair noted a member (Harold) intended to submit a façade grant application and members confirmed the application process would address any questions.
The commission scheduled follow-up business for the March meeting, when members expect fuller attendance and will revisit officer nominations and elections.
