Alamosa County Treasurer Amy McKinley presented Resolution 2026-G-6 asking the board to write off unpaid taxes on a misfit parcel that is not buildable or marketable.
McKinley said Senior Treasurer Tech Stephanie Wright completed the Treasurer’s Deed process. McKinley asked the board whether the parcel should be listed for sale by auction and whether adjoining landowners should be contacted first. County Attorney Jason Kelly advised that purchases via the Public Surplus auction would be sold as a Treasurer’s Deed and that buyers would need to complete a quiet-title process; he added the most likely interested buyers are adjoining landowners.
Commissioner Lori Laske moved and Vice Chair Arlan Van Ry seconded a motion to approve Resolution 2026-G-6; the motion passed unanimously.
