Bladensburg to consider annexing Waterfront Park and Playhouse; resolutions scheduled for special meeting

Town Administrator Tonelli said the playhouse annexation will use the short review period available for a smaller parcel (approximately 7 acres) and explained the Waterfront Park annexation requires the plan be introduced first and the resolution to follow; both will have two readings with the second reading in June. If adopted, staff said the annexation would become effective 20 days after council passage.
The council did not vote on the annexations at the work session; staff invited questions and said citizen questions on the record could be addressed at the special meeting.
