The Fremont City Council consented to several mayoral appointments and reappointments on May 26. The council approved the mayor's appointment of Mike Raasch (unexpired term ending January 2029) and Michelle Knapp (term ending August 2030) to the Library Advisory Board, and appointed Matt Taylor to the Utility and Infrastructure Board for an unexpired term ending June 2030; those motions passed unanimously.
The Local Option Review Team appointments and reappointments (Alli Greene; reappointments of Lori Lathrop, Kevin Eairleywine, Scott Meister, Mark Jensen, and Matt Mueller) were approved with six yea votes and two abstentions (Councilmembers Lathrop and Jensen abstained). The minutes record the abstentions and list the reappointments and appointment by name.
As part of consent, the council authorized multiple special event uses of city property (Resolution 2026-128 for MainStreet Fremont events) and the Fremont Area United Way special event and associated outdoor license for a June 16 fundraiser (Resolution 2026-130).
