New Albany ARB reelects officers and confirms regular meeting schedule

The New Albany Architectural Review Board on March 10 completed its organizational business, reelecting officers and confirming the board's regular meeting schedule for the year.
During the meeting the board relected Allan Henson as chair, John Iton as vice chair and Mister Brown as secretary by unanimous roll call votes. The procedural votes followed nominations from the presiding officer and were approved with all voting members in favor.
Board members also discussed the recurring meeting time after staff noted a scheduling conflict with local youth soccer in the spring. After considering a temporary 7:15 p.m. start for April and May, the board moved to set its regular meetings on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in council chambers for the remainder of the calendar year. The chair later moved to vacate a prior motion that had provisionally set an alternate October date after staff clarified the city does not observe Columbus Day; members then voted to confirm the second-Monday schedule.
Staff introduced two new planning staff members, Annalise and Jay. Annalise summarized her master's-level planning background and prior work with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission; Jay said he previously worked as a planning technician for the city of Dublin and holds a bachelor's from The Ohio State University.
Staff also told the board that the South High item the board had tabled will be tentatively scheduled for the April meeting and that the ARB application deadline for the next meeting is approaching.
The board adjourned after routine closing items.
