Library staff report RFID rollout, Carlsbad Reads Together wrap; trustees honor outgoing Chair Moran

She reported that Carlsbad Reads Together concluded in April and that staff will present a final report next month. Krasabe also noted that TGIF concerts begin June 19 at Stagecoach Park.
To honor Chair Moran’s four years of service (2022–2026), Krasabe read a letter from Director Smithson and presented a certificate noting accomplishments including elimination of overdue fines, restoration of Sunday hours, adding the Hoopla streaming service, and updates to the collection and development policy to comply with California AB 18‑25.
Krasabe closed the staff comments and the chair adjourned the meeting at 4:31 p.m.
