Resident says code fines and neighbor complaints have driven him to the 'end of his rope'; supervisors to review

William Booth, a resident of 5550 Maryville Court, told the board he is being repeatedly reported to the township by neighbors and faces ongoing fines and enforcement actions he said are unfair. Booth described financial hardship, saying he lives on Social Security of about $960 a month and that a $300 fine and other notices left him unable to pay. He asked supervisors to review the enforcement actions against him.
"I'm at the district justice all the time... I only get $960 a month," Booth said. He described a pattern in which neighbors ‘‘gang up’’ by calling the township and said that enforcement escalated to fines and a 90‑day compliance period that he finds impossible in winter months.
Chairman Campbell and other supervisors told Booth they would review his situation; the chairman said a supervisor would work with township staff to assess the case. "Supervisor Stewart will work with our team here at the township to review your situation and see if we can move things along," the chair said.
The board did not take formal enforcement action during the meeting; it committed to follow up with Booth and evaluate the complaint history and current status with staff and, if necessary, legal counsel.
