HHHC Executive Committee sets General Meeting agenda items, hears agency updates

The Humboldt Housing and Homelessness Coalition (HHHC) Executive Committee on May 13 identified agenda items for its next General Meeting and heard brief agency updates.
The Committee listed potential General Meeting presentations: the most recent Point‑in‑Time (PIT) Count data, an overview titled CoC 101, a Southern Humboldt (SoHum) presentation on current ERF activity, information on CalFresh changes, a short informational presentation on the FY2026 CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), and a City of Eureka housing project briefing. CCRP will propose dates and schedule the General Meeting after gathering input from Executive Committee members.
Agency updates included a report from the Humboldt County Office of Education about a Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council roundtable on May 22 focused on community supports for families, and an RCAA inquiry about multiple building projects in Eureka (some funded by the Wiyot Tribe, others by the City of Eureka). RCAA also said it is no longer serving the West Village Studios project by Danco.
DHHS reported ongoing consultations with the National Alliance to End Homelessness and said it is considering litigation around the FY2026 CoC NOFO; the transcript also notes ongoing litigation related to the FY2025 NOFO.
Next steps: EC will follow up on the General Meeting agenda at its May 27 meeting and table discussion of the Youth Advisory Board until a future meeting. The session adjourned at 3:06 p.m.
