Contractors for the Liberty curtain project have been directed to prepare plans so work can start once school ends; electrical work and epoxy bathroom flooring are scheduled for the week of June 8. Staff added three door latch locations to the punch list and said contractor Crabtree and partners are coordinating repairs.
The family and consumer science room is nearing completion: painting was finished last week, flooring is scheduled for early June, and cabinets are expected in about two weeks. Staff agreed to share photos of the finished space with the board when available.
The committee discussed the ten‑year facility plan and agreed to table final action until public bids are opened (bids are due Thursday with a public opening scheduled Friday at 9 a.m.). The district also noted patch paving projects are out for bid and will be evaluated once responses arrive.
On longer‑term amenities, staff reported they are collecting contractor quotes to replace seasonal porta‑potty rentals at the tennis courts with a single unisex, ADA‑compliant restroom. Annual porta‑potty costs were cited as roughly $700 per season, and staff will return cost and timeline estimates for sponsorship or board discussion.
