On project timelines, staff reminded the board that an RFP for a compact/contract is due May 13 at 10 a.m., and the road bond RFP is expected to post May 16 with a mid-June bid opening; staff and the engineer expect work could be scheduled for late summer or early fall if bids and studies proceed on time. Separately, a grant-funded Rabbit Valley Road project is moving toward RFPs in mid-May with a mid-June bid opening and an anticipated late-summer start.
Staff also reminded the board that MSAD 17's district budget meeting is May 20 at 6 p.m. at the high school (the public forum where that budget is first voted), and a candidates night is scheduled the same evening at 6 p.m. at the recreation center; the town's role for the candidates night will be limited to providing the venue and recording support, with a moderator supplied by organizers.
