Hanover Township adopts three ordinances, introduces three more including $125,000 speed-hump appropriation

The Hanover Township Committee adopted three ordinances and introduced three additional measures at its June 13, 2024 meeting.
After a public hearing that drew no speakers, the committee voted to adopt ordinances 12, 13 and 14 on roll call. The meeting record shows affirming votes for the four members present; no no votes or abstentions were recorded.
The committee then introduced ordinances 15, 16 and 17 and read their titles into the record. Ordinance 15 would authorize a lease with the Hanover Tigers youth football and cheerleading organization to operate the Brickyard concession facility from Aug. 1, 2024, through Nov. 16, 2024. Ordinance 16 would amend chapter 166 of the township code to remove references and regulations for the TC Town Center zone district. Ordinance 17 would appropriate $125,000 from the unallocated portion of the township’s 2024 capital improvement fund for the purchase and installation of speed humps, speed tables and related appurtenances on various township streets.
Public hearings on the introduced ordinances were scheduled for July 11, 2024. The clerk confirmed the date when a reporter in the audience asked for the schedule.
The committee also read that notices and full ordinance texts would be published in the Daily Record in accordance with law.
No public speakers addressed the ordinances at the June 13 hearing.
