The Milford Personnel Board on Jan. 14 approved the appointment of Tim Aicardi as Alternate Building Commissioner at Grade 11, Step 6 with a starting rate of $65.28 per hour for a 25-hour-per-week, part-time assignment.
Building Commissioner John Erickson recommended Aicardi, noting he is certified and previously worked in the Milford Building Department from 2011 to 2015. Erickson told the board that Aicardi will be leaving a full-time role in Bellingham but will remain available to support that town’s transition; Erickson stated there were no conflicts with Aicardi’s part-time role in Hopedale because that position involves minimal hours.
Member Teresa Persico moved the appointment; Jim Dorval seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The appointment brings an experienced, certified building professional into a part-time role the department said will assist with zoning and building duties.
