Klamath County commissioners unanimously approve budget resolutions, property-cleanup contracts and multiple agreements

At a May 26, 2026 business meeting the Klamath County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved multiple budget resolutions, accepted three property-cleanup contracts, authorized interagency and vendor agreements including an amended Tyler Technologies contract and an emergency month-to-month lease for Klamath County 911, and adopted a Library Service District budget resolution.
The Klamath County Board of Commissioners on May 26, 2026 approved a series of routine but wide-ranging administrative measures, including budget adjustments, contract awards and interagency agreements.
Vickie Noel of the county finance office presented a multi-department budget resolution covering the general fund and numerous special and internal service funds, which the board adopted unanimously as BR2026-015 after a motion by Commissioner DeGroot and a second from Commissioner Nichols. Shortly afterward Noel presented a supplemental budget for the Law Library Fund, which the board approved unanimously as BR2026-016.
The board accepted three contractor quotes for property clean-up work presented by Terry Wells of property management. Coltermac Enterprises LLC was approved for clean-ups at 32326 Choptie Drive and 35715 Highway 140 E., and Elite Excavation LLC was approved for work on parcel 3811-011C0-02900. Each award was approved by motion of Commissioner Nichols, seconded by Commissioner DeGroot, and carried unanimously.
Kayla Wessel, tax collector, presented the county’s Transient Room Tax first-quarter distribution for the period ending March 31, 2026. The board voted unanimously to approve the distribution (OR2026-053).
The board also signed a range of agreements. Finance presented an amended agreement with Tyler Technologies that the board approved. An emergency month-to-month lease for Emergency Management space with Klamath County 911 was read and approved after Commissioner Nichols moved and Commissioner DeGroot seconded. Public Works brought forward Agreement No. 26-PA-11060200-159 between the Fremont-Winema National Forest and Klamath County Weed Control; that interagency agreement was approved unanimously.
During the meeting Commissioner Minty recessed the Business Meeting to convene the Library Service District, where the board adopted a Library Service District budget resolution (BR2026-017). Minty then closed the Library Service District meeting and reopened the Business Meeting. The session adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
