Staff emphasized that the committee’s priorities guided project sequencing: land-use and concept planning would precede design, and the parks master plan remains in progress. "We've identified $15,100,000 in projects. We have resources of 16.4," staff said while reviewing the slides. The Elkhorn project was noted as a priority that could begin concept work in the coming quarters and run through 2028.
Staff explained that some items discussed during the committee’s December meeting were placed outside the two-year programming window and appear in later years of the five-year plan; staff promised to circulate a fuller five-year snapshot to the committee and to provide the packet used in the council briefing.
Committee members requested the small slide packet and the supporting documents from county and state partners used for project prioritization. Staff said Jessica (presentation lead, out sick) compiled the materials and that they would be shared with the full committee before the council discussion on the 10th.
