The Northlake Planning & Zoning Commission on March 24, 2026, approved a recommendation to accept a site plan for Classic Collision, a proposed 13,000-square-foot auto collision center on a 1.90-acre lot in Northport Addition, by a 5–1 vote.
Nathan Reddin, the town’s Development Services Director, presented the site plan and related materials. The property is described in the minutes as being on the east side of IH 35W approximately 400 feet north of Ashmore Lane. The commission’s action was a recommendation on the site plan (Case #26-SP00001); the minutes record no public comments on the item.
Commissioner Roger Nolan moved to approve the recommendation with specific variances: reduction of a 10-foot landscape buffer with required trees allowed in alternate locations, planting required parking-lot trees in alternate locations, and providing foundation plantings in alternate locations. Commissioner Sal Esposito seconded the motion. Commissioners Chris Amarante, Roger Nolan, Sal Esposito, Chairperson Linda King and Vice Chairperson Robert Keeker voted yes; Commissioner Saketh Parsa voted no. Commissioner Danny Simpson was recorded as absent.
Earlier in the meeting the commission also approved its Feb. 24, 2026, meeting minutes. The agenda included informational briefings from Reddin on approved plats and on recent Town Council actions relating to Planning & Zoning items; those briefings prompted commentary but required no commission action.
