After voting on two bills, the Chair reviewed the committee’s upcoming calendar and logistics. The Chair said the Budget and Appropriations committee will hold a virtual public hearing March 24 at 10 a.m. and a public hearing March 30 at 10 a.m., and that the March 30 session has been moved to the New Jersey Institute of Technology from MetLife Stadium because of staging issues.
The Chair also noted opening day is April 7 and that the treasurer’s revenue-forecast hearing was rescheduled to May 18 to allow the treasurer more time to provide updated revenue estimates. The Chair asked members to coordinate coverage of public hearings when schedules require members to step aside.
These scheduling announcements set the next dates for public testimony and legislative consideration of budget items.
