Emmet County supervisors approve intergovernmental agreements, contracts and claims in routine business session

During its May 19 meeting the Emmet County Board of Supervisors completed several routine business actions.
The board approved (1) a 28E Agreement with the Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Safety Director Program (motion by John Pluth, second by Todd Glasnapp; unanimous), (2) a Cost Advisory Services contract for FY2026–FY2028 (motion by Tim Schumacher, second by Todd Glasnapp; unanimous), (3) re-issuing a lost claims check to Swift Air for $1,782.20 dated Dec. 16, 2025 (motion by Tim Schumacher, second by John Pluth), and (4) a Joint District Drainage claim to Anderson Tiling for DD 4 EK in the amount of $1,600 (motion by Jeff Quastad, second by Todd Glasnapp; unanimous). The board also set two public hearings for June 16: FY26 Budget Amendment #2 at 10:00 a.m. and FY26 departmental appropriation changes at 10:05 a.m.
Supervisors noted absentee voting is underway for the primary election and that a local 4‑H group will plant flowers in front of the courthouse on Friday. The board adjourned at 11:26 a.m.
