Robert Hunter fourth-graders present school highlights to board

Fourth-grade students from Robert Hunter Elementary described mascot activities, the therapy dog Tango, assemblies, charity drives and special events during the board meeting’s student report segment.
Fourth-grade students Darius and Ashley represented Robert Hunter Elementary School at the Flemington-Raritan Regional School District board meeting and described why they enjoy their school.
Darius said the school mascot, Robbie Raccoon, appears at whole-school events, and noted the therapy dog Tango "always brings joy" and walks schoolwide on special days. He described buddy classes, assemblies led by students, and a cereal-box drive that collected more than 500 boxes last year.
Ashley highlighted PTO events including a foam party, trunk-or-treat and a walkathon, and noted upcoming field trips and concerts. Both students thanked the board for the opportunity to present and were publicly commended by the board president.
The student reports were part of the superintendent’s report and were presented without formal action.
