She said the authority is transitioning to a paperless work environment, has suspended issuance of new vouchers temporarily and is partnering on workforce internships to reduce administrative costs.
Austin Hay, vice chair of the Weatherford Housing Authority board, asked council members to recognize recent retiree service and emphasized community partnerships. Musino outlined outreach programs the authority runs beyond vouchers, noting distributions of donated bread and clothing and school‑supply drives.
Resident concerns about program access did not arise during the presentation, but Musino said the authority seeks to expand assistance in 2026 if the renewal funding obligation of $4,468,504 is provided as planned. "With this funding, the Weatherford Housing Authority hopes to begin issuing additional vouchers and assisting more families in 2026," she said.
