At the outset of the hearing on Case 6609, the Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals voted to enter the application file and accompanying exhibits into the record. The motion was moved and seconded and the chair stated, "The motion carries," before the hearing proceeded to testimony.
After several hours of testimony from the applicant, opposing counsel, public commenters and technical witnesses, the board determined more expert evidence was needed — particularly a traffic engineer and additional technical studies on noise and site design — and continued the matter to June 26, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. for further testimony. The continuance means no final decision on the conditional‑use request or the requested variances will be rendered until the hearing resumes.
The clerk was instructed to include the submitted documents and exhibits in the official hearing record and to schedule the additional witnesses for the continued proceeding.
