The Millburn Township Board of Education opened its May 4 meeting with student recognitions.
Catherine Riley, the district art educator, announced that Jonah Ledecky, Class of 2026, won the district ClassLink login‑page design contest from roughly 76 submissions. The winning design will be displayed on the district’s ClassLink login page for the 2026–27 school year.
The board also recognized student success in the USA Biology Olympiad. Andrea Noor, secondary science and technology supervisor, said nearly 6,400 students nationwide took the first round; fewer than 10% advanced to the semifinal and only 40 New Jersey students were invited to take the semifinal exam. Five Millburn High School students were among those semifinalists, and Simon Lisanski scored in the national top 50. Certificates were distributed to students present; one student absent will receive their certificate later.
Board members congratulated the students and thanked teachers and staff who supported the projects and competitions.
