County facilities were opened to provide warming and phone-charging services for affected residents. Meagan Quaderer explained that adopting the declaration would make the county eligible to pursue disaster aid funding if the damage meets the state or federal thresholds.
The resolution passed by voice/roll-call with all 13 supervisors voting in favor (Yes-13, No-0). The board instructed staff to document damages and pursue appropriate damage-assessment and funding steps.
