The Chappaqua Central School District Board on May 20 ratified the May 19, 2026 school budget vote and election and approved several routine policy and personnel items in a series of motions taken during the meeting.
Chair (speaker 1) moved to ratify the report of the May 19 budget vote and election; the motion was seconded and carried. The board then moved several routine association and meeting-schedule items and placed a set of consent-agenda items (5.1–5.15) for a single vote, which passed.
On policy matters, the board held the second reading and adopted policy 7005 (facilities planning and development) and regulation 7000 (building usage fees; added CSSP to an exempt list) as presented. The board accepted the superintendent’s recommendation for instructional tenures (item 4.1), which included multiple tenure appointments and some probationary placements; trustees congratulated those receiving tenure.
In financial business, the board acknowledged receipt of the April 2026 claims auditor report, treasurer’s report, appropriation status and revenue status reports. The board then voted to go back into executive session to discuss personnel, litigation, FERPA matters and contract negotiations; it reconvened briefly and adjourned at about 9:32 p.m.
Motions at the meeting were procedural and routine; where specific vote tallies were not read into the record the minutes record the motions as carried or approved by voice vote.
