The Brainerd City Park Board approved an agreement permitting the Brainerd Ski Loons to construct a new pavilion and a separate storage shed at Lumb Park, with donated labor and materials.
Staff (speaker 6) told the board the proposed design was reviewed and approved by the city building official and that the agreement addressing scope, responsibilities and liabilities had been reviewed by the city attorney. The Ski Loons’ organizational review raised no concerns, staff said.
Board members had no substantive objections and moved to approve the agreement. The motion was made and seconded and the board voted to adopt the agreement. Staff said the project will be completed through coordination with the Ski Loons and through donated materials and labor under the terms approved by the city.
The agreement establishes responsibilities for construction and defined liabilities; staff will monitor compliance with city building standards during construction.
