The Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on May 26 approved a school appropriation resolution to provide $500,000 for a high‑school turf field project.
County staff said the board had already appropriated the funds at a December meeting but state law requires the school board to appropriate the funds as well; the presented resolution formalized that step. A motion to adopt the resolution was moved and seconded and the board approved it by roll call.
Chairman McDaniel and all supervisors voted in favor. The motion carries without amendment; the school board and county staff will proceed with the appropriation steps outlined in the resolution.
