The Carver City Council opened the meeting by presenting community and staff honors.
Lori Osterdyke announced that the 2025 Greg Osterdyke Community Service Award will go to Carver on the Minnesota, a local nonprofit credited with organizing community events, producing an oral-history project (Carver Stories) and supporting the historic district.
The council also announced employee-of-the-year awards: full-time Employee of the Year was Caleb Kirchberg, recognized in peer comments for dependability and a positive attitude; the part-time Employee of the Year was firefighter Jason Scholstedt, praised for professionalism, compassion in emergency situations and steady performance amid personal challenges. The mayor read peer nominations for both honorees and offered congratulations.
